Welcome to Slumbay House!

At Slumbay House we want to make everyone's stay as enjoyable as possible, and are committed to providing suitable access for all our guests, whatever their individual needs. We aim to accurately describe our facilities and services to give you the confidence that booking Slumbay House will suit your specific requirements.

The house was completed in 2019, when it received its completion certificate from the Highland Council and complies with all design guidelines for accessibility in force at that time.

Level Access

The main entrance has level access with a ramp from the car parking area. The car parking area is gravelled. The ramp is permanent. The main entrance door is side hung and opens outwards. The door opening is 940 mm wide, but the effective width is a little less due to the doorframe.

Access to the patio from the main room is also level through a set of double glazed doors. There are steps from the patio down into the garden. Level access to the garden is possible from the car parking area at the front of the house.

The key safe housing guest keys to the house has level access from the car parking area at the front of the house.


An accessible cloakroom is available to the left of the main entrance, immediately as you enter the property. This is equipped with a sliding door.


Both bedrooms on the ground floor have level access that is not less than 750mm wide at any point. Both ground floor bedrooms have en suite bathrooms.

The bathroom for the bedroom on the left of the house (when looking at the house from the parking area) has been designated as accessible and is equipped with a bath. The bath is not fitted with supplementary grab handles. This bathroom includes a 1,100 x 800 mm WC manoeuvring space and a 1,200 x 800 mm bath activity space.

The bathroom for the bedroom on the right of the house is equipped with a walk in shower (with a raised tray) and includes a 1.100 x 800 mm WC manoeuvring space.

All bedrooms have windows, bedside lamps and natural daylight. All bedrooms are non-smoking.
